• August 20, 2024
  Doug Knittig at Westlake's Lake Charles North facility was this year's "Fastest Activator" by activating his account at 7:35AM today.
  However, Ryan Estevens at Westlake Vinyls in Geismar zoomed ahead to be the first to submit his facility's application this year. He submitted at 8:55AM. That's got to be the power of some really good coffee.

  The launch of SAFE2024 was delayed this year due to web site technical issues preventing some pages from loading. Thankfully, the issue has been fully resolved. No data was ever at risk.
• October 27, 2023
  Congratulations to the winners of SAFE's Best of Louisiana award. 59 facilities from 43 different companies provided their safety and environmental data as participants in the SAFE project for 2023. LCA-member companies that chose to participate in SAFE this year are obviously already among the best companies and facilities in the state. Check out this year's winning facilities!

  Westlake´s Rico Orsot earned a "Fastest Activator" title by activating his user account at 6:49 AM, followed just one second later by Nick Pizzolato with Honeywell, but Nick continued blazing onward to make SAFE2023's first submission! SAFE is off to a great start. Thanks everyone.

  Sorry, yet another postponement! But only by one more day. Now we will open the SAFE forms on August 1^st. A reminder, every user's account begins in an "inactive" state, so watch for the launch email which will give your personal key to activate your account and some dead simple instructions on how to do it. As we've always done for 23 years, every email will contain that activation key until you have actually used it.

  The launch of this year's SAFE Project has been postponed to July 31^st due to technical matters. Since the deadline for SAFE2023 submissions is September 22^nd everyone will still have nearly two full months to submit their data for their facility to be eligible for Best in Louisiana and Most Improved awards.
• May 10, 2023
  No changes will be made to the 2023 SAFE application form again this year. To review the 2023 form, go to the Home page, select Help Get Me Started, then Show me the SAFE form .
